Selecting Piping and Accessories

Have you spec’d out your system completely? Ensured that pressure losses won’t occur due to inadequate piping? Positive that increased energy costs, pressure variations, and adverse effects of production have been avoided?

If you’re not sure, here are some tips when selecting piping and accessories for your system:

  • Select full-size piping when practical for filters
  • Reduce pressure drops and energy costs by using full port valves and selecting proper pip and fittings
  • For reducing pipe size at threaded ports, do not use bushings
  • Suitable three-valve bypasses should be used when piping filters and dryers to enable servicing when required

An important note to keep is to always read the manufacturers’ instruction books on optimal interconnecting of different components on your system.
